Sophie Lee | 85

Sophie Lee is Chinese and American. She was born and raised in her early life in Hong Kong. Her parents, though raised in very poor families and working hard to get by, insisted that all of their nine children get an education. They moved to San Francisco in 1953 and their father bought an apartment building that he rented out as a way to be sure his children would never be without a home. Sophie has lived all over the US, including in Texas for thirty years. Now back in San Francisco and living at the Towers, a senior community, she is only a few blocks from the building her father purchased in the 50s. She describes herself as curious but also straightforward and direct. She and her husband have been passionate about traveling and have been to 135 countries.
