Peg Purcell | 80

Peg Purcell has led a colorful life and part of that has been running a hat shop on Post Street, Hats on Post. She was interviewed over three sessions and Peg retells many moments in her life. As the eldest of five children and with parents who were both ill at times, she often had to step up to take care of her siblings and many people, she says, would describe her as “strong”. She’s lived all over the country and all over the world, and San Francisco is her home.
