Eugenia Sands | 91
Eugenia Sands “takes the world as she finds it”. Originally from Memphis, she came to San Francisco in 1969 as part of her job in the Merchant Marine. That job continued to take her all over the world. But there was another job she had later and for several decades that she was proud of: working as a seamstress and making costumes for the stars performing at the San Francisco Opera. When asked about a defining moment in life, she says “I mostly think about the good times, because that gives me more energy than the bad ones.”
