Carol Pearlman, a New York native, lives in San Francisco to be close to her grandchildren. She lives in one of the assisted living apartment buildings in the city and life was drastically altered during the pandemic and for a good while she was cut off from the regular visits with her family. She is a writer of prose and poetry, but during the pandemic her email was her writing. Fortunately for us, those writings were published as a book, Happy in the Old Folks Home under a pseudonym, Cleopatra Shareshevski. See more of her work on her website.
